Deana Edwards
Bridgnorth Endowed School Careers Officer
Hello, I’m Deana Edwards and I've been at Bridgnorth Endowed for many years, working in a variety of student-facing support roles. Recently, I was delighted to take on the responsibility for the school's careers programme, after completing a Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development. I have a real passion for helping our pupils gain greater awareness of their strengths and achieving their goals. In parallel, I strive to signpost all of the options available to them to ensure they are able to make informed decisions when the time comes. Alongside the careers lessons delivered to all year groups across the school, I work closely with Vicky Dickson to design and deliver skills-related programmes and workshops, helping students to enhance their teamwork, communication and employability skills.
Vicky Dickson
Enterprise Adviser – HR Officer at SNG Barratt Group
I’m extremely pleased to be volunteering as an Enterprise Advisor for Bridgnorth Endowed. Drawing on experiences gained during 6+ years of working in recruitment and human resources within various sectors, I will be actively supporting the careers strategy for the school and assisting in delivering employability and careers learning sessions. Providing opportunities for children to prepare for the world of work is something I hold in high esteem. Having often reflected on not receiving such support whilst I was in full time education, I can see the importance of nurturing skills and sharing knowledge which students will need to successfully start on their chosen career path. If you would like to get involved or you are a business who is keen to partner with BES by providing career learning opportunities or work placements for pupils, we'd love to hear from you.
