Sixth Form Curriculum

Bridgnorth Endowed Sixth Form provides students with a choice of course options and combinations to suit their learning styles and aspirations.

These include:

  • A level courses
  • A combination of A level and BTEC vocational courses
  • BTEC vocational courses

In addition to the above courses, the Extended Project Qualification is offered to all Year 13 students.

The Extended Project Qualification (EPQ)

The EPQ allows students to undertake an independent project that is academically useful, either related to their current course of study, or their future career.

For this qualification they must choose a topic, plan the project, carry out research, develop the idea and decide on the content and presentation of the finished product.

Equivalent to half an A level, the EPQ is graded on a scale of A*–E, with an A* awarding 70 UCAS points.

GCSE English and Mathematics

Students may need a GCSE grade 5 to be considered for a number of Higher Education courses. For those who need to improve their GCSE grade in either English or maths, these lessons are included as part of their sixth form programme.
