At Bridgnorth Endowed, we recognise the importance of relationships, sex and health education and have worked hard to develop a RSHE curriculum that gives our pupils the opportunity to develop into well-rounded individuals, ready to face the outside world.
At Key Stage 3, it is taught over three drop-down days during the year when pupils are off-timetable all day to take part in RSHE sessions. At Key Stage 4, it is taught through fortnightly core lessons, which are shared with Religious Education (RE). View RSHE Curriculum Overview
The RSHE curriculum has been carefully designed to meet the statutory requirements for relationship and sex education. To read and review our policy on RSE, which includes details on parents' right to withdraw, please click here
In addition to the RSHE curriculum, pupils are regularly exposed to and given the opportunity to discuss relevant relationships, sex and health issues through our tutor time and house assembly programme.
