Change is in the air at BES as students have been busy putting their heads together to come up with brand-new names for the school\u2019s beloved houses before tomorrow\u2019s deadline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After many years of service, Hardwicke, Rowley and Washbrook are set to bow out gracefully to make way for the next generation of houses, which are yet to be named.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With growing student numbers, a fourth house will also be introduced; something that is not a particularly new idea with Clive, Darwin, Hayward and Talbot leading the charge some decades ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rebranding Process<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first stage of the process has involved pupils and teachers researching and pitching ideas for possible house names, with some crucial support from their families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the local community is very much at the heart of Bridgnorth Endowed, the town will then be asked to join in by voting on the shortlisted options, due to be announced in the last week of May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Senior Leader, Mrs Tristham, said: \u201cOur relationship with the local community is always of paramount importance to us. Therefore, we would like to involve them in this exciting project.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Time for Change<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bridgnorth Endowed believes the time is right to move to the next chapter of its history as the recent global pandemic has heralded so much change and acted as a catalyst for new thinking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mrs Tristham concludes: \u201cIt\u2019s been a very challenging time but, with the resilience we have as a close-knit school, we are now looking forward to a brighter future where we emerge even stronger.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe house system is the foundation on which this school stands and has always been a significant part of our ethos and beliefs. We feel it\u2019s now time to freshen things up and move forward.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
