Logan Pope during last week’s two-hour pianothon fundraiser<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Well done to Logan Pope from Year 7 who completed a two-hour pianothon in aid of the Little Rascals Foundation last Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the twelve-year-old has been raising money for charity for many years, this particular cause is very close to his heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the foundation, Logan said: \u201cLittle Rascals has been a big help to our family as my older sister Esti has autism.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAt Little Rascals, Esti becomes herself. She doesn\u2019t have to be afraid of being laughed at by anyone and it\u2019s great to see her so happy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Logan has been playing piano for about four years now and is\njust about to tackle his Grade 4, which sparked the idea for the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He explained: \u201cI thought to myself, it\u2019s something I\u2019m good at for a charity that I like \u2013 it fits together.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the two-hour marathon, Logan played music including\nThe Entertainer, all of his exam pieces, Land of Hope and Glory, and a lot of songs\nfrom the hit musical Les Mis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite tired hands, Logan was very pleased with how well it\nall went: \u201cIt actually flew by. For the first ten minutes we thought \u2018this is\ngoing to take ages\u2019 and then before we knew it, it was nearly finished.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A spokesperson from Little Rascals commented: \u201cThank you so\nmuch Logan! We really appreciate your support.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Shropshire-based charity strives to support children\nwith disabilities and give them a chance to have a happy life by helping them\nto participate in ‘normal’ everyday activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
