I\u2019d like to thank the pupils and staff for their hard work and commitment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Outstanding individual successes include Oliver Carvell who achieved an impressive eight Grade 9s and has been offered a scholarship to study A Levels at Shrewsbury School.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m really pleased with my results after all the hard work. The school provided a good framework of revision sessions and support, and I was given a great deal of encouragement, especially from my form tutor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Well done to Sophie Hartshorne, who\u2019s moving on to King Edward\u2019s to study A Level Biology, Chemistry and Maths, after getting three 9s, five 8s and an A*.<\/p>\n<p>Naomi Agwinah achieved high grades with 8s in both Spanish and French, and will go on to study A Level Maths, Further Maths, Economics and French at King Edward\u2019s in Stourbridge.<\/p>\n<p>Isaac Johnson scored top grades and is heading off to Thomas Telford to study A Levels, and Lucy Simms, who also had an excellent set of results, including two 9s and an A, will stay on at Bridgnorth Endowed for Sixth Form.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_431\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-431\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-431\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bridgnorthendowed.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Photo-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"346\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bridgnorthendowed.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Photo-2.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.bridgnorthendowed.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Photo-2-300x208.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-431\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ella Aldridge (left) and Bella Cox (Right) are both off to Shrewsbury Sixth Form College and Naomi Agwinah (Centre) will go on to King Edward\u2019s in Stourbridge<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Mr Worth highlights: \u201cThe high standard of teaching at Bridgnorth Endowed School was praised in a recent Ofsted report and the increase in the number of students gaining top grades is testament to this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Since taking up headship just over a year ago, Mr Worth has introduced a raft of changes and continues his mission towards an outstanding school with high standards of academic achievement for all, underpinned by traditional values of discipline, courtesy and good manners.<\/p>\n<p>With ambitious plans to strengthen the curriculum, starting from this school year, all Year 10 and Year 11 pupils will now follow the EBacc pathway, taking a language and a humanity as well as science, maths and English.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Worth concludes: \u201cWe believe passionately in giving our students every opportunity to accomplish beyond what they think is possible and go out into the world as well-rounded young people.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bridgnorth Endowed School is extremely pleased to report some considerable achievements from its students in this year&#8217;s GCSE results.
