{"id":2914,"date":"2019-07-18T10:26:21","date_gmt":"2019-07-18T09:26:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bridgnorthendowed.co.uk\/news\/?p=2914"},"modified":"2019-07-18T10:26:21","modified_gmt":"2019-07-18T09:26:21","slug":"creative-arts-trip-to-london","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bridgnorthendowed.co.uk\/news\/creative-arts-trip-to-london\/","title":{"rendered":"Creative Arts Trip to London"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-image alignright\"><figure class=\"alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"346\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bridgnorthendowed.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/London-Trip-July-2019.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3027\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bridgnorthendowed.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/London-Trip-July-2019.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.bridgnorthendowed.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/London-Trip-July-2019-300x208.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><figcaption>Students in front of the Lyceum Theatre before The Lion King performance<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>A group of 35 students from Years 8, 9 and 10 enjoyed an epic three-day Creative Arts Trip to London earlier this week.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of the many highlights, they got the chance to visit the Capital\u2019s West End for not one but two top theatre productions.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Monday evening, the pupils headed to the Gillian Lynne Theatre for an energetic, buzzing performance of Andrew Lloyd Webber\u2019s smash-hit, School of Rock the Musical.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Later in the trip, the group went to the impressive Lyceum Theatre to see Disney\u2019s long-running and multi-award-winning musical, The Lion King.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On top of the theatre shows, the jam-packed itinerary included star-spotting at Madame Tussauds\u2019 wax museum, and chills and thrills at the London Dungeon.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students also had plenty of free time to explore London and experience all the sights and sounds it has to offer.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They were able to wander around the vibrant Covent Garden area, enjoy some retail therapy in Oxford Street and Regent Street, and stroll along the Queen&#8217;s Walk and down the south bank of the River Thames.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Head of Creative Arts, Mrs Tristham, said: \u201cEveryone had an unforgettable time in London and the students were an absolute credit to the school.
