Earlier this month, 36 pupils from Years 7 to 9 took part in the new French Adventure Trip to Ch\u00e2teau de Chantereine in Criel-sur-Mer, Northern France.<\/p>\n

With a jam-packed itinerary and glorious weather forecast, the trip was set to be a wonderful experience for all.<\/p>\n

En route, the group visited a specialist chocolate factory and enjoyed learning about the process of chocolate making, with a tasting at the end.<\/p>\n

On arrival at the ch\u00e2teau, once unpacked and after dinner, the pupils took part in some fun team games.<\/p>\n

Next morning, pupils prepared their own baguettes for lunch and headed out for the day.<\/p>\n

In Dieppe, they got the chance to experience French culture first hand by visiting a traditional French market and interacting with the stallholders to barter on prices.<\/p>\n

After a picnic on the beach, the group travelled to Rouen for a walking tour of the city, finding out about the plague, Joan of Arc\u2019s plight and where Monet used to paint his masterpieces.<\/p>\n

On Day Two, pupils paid their respects at a WW1 cemetery, before moving on to the seaside town of Le Tr\u00e9port. Here, they took a ride on a funicular, ordered ice creams in a local caf\u00e9 and even made their own croissants. The day was rounded off with an invigorating water fight to cool down.<\/p>\n

The pupils\u2019 impeccable behaviour and teamwork was noted throughout the trip, and staff from Bridgnorth Endowed and the ch\u00e2teau praised their \u2018have a go\u2019 attitude towards speaking French and caring nature with each other.<\/p>\n

The trip was a great success and it will hopefully become a regular fixture on the Bridgnorth Endowed calendar.<\/p>\n

“I liked the atmosphere in Rouen, it was really buzzing.\u201d \u2013 Asa, Year 8<\/em><\/p>\n
