The two bond over a shared love of singing, but it looks as if talent and true love may be thwarted by the need to stick with their peer groups.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of course, the pair do stand up to their cliques and go on to take the lead roles in the school musical. The message of High School Musical is simple \u2013 be true to yourself and follow your dreams.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image alignleft\"><figure class=\"alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"346\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bridgnorthendowed.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/HSM_leads.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2299\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bridgnorthendowed.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/HSM_leads.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.bridgnorthendowed.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/HSM_leads-300x208.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><figcaption>Lead characters Troy (Josh Loveday) and Gabriella (Francesca Bicknell)<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The voice of leading lady, Gabriella, was superb and the harmonies with Troy were on point. In fact, the show\u2019s infectious musical numbers offered a great deal of audience-appeal, with big favourites including \u201cWe&#8217;re All in This Together\u201d and \u201cBreaking Free.\u201d<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drama queen Sharpay (Hannah Tranter) and her brother Ryan (Miles Humphries) provided a hilarious double act, and a standout scene was when Chad (Liam Fulwell) comically impersonated an earthworm, gaining praise from the eccentric drama teacher (Kloe Pearce): \u201cWell done \u2013 I had no idea an earthworm had such depth of feeling!\u201d<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s impossible to highlight all of the outstanding performances as the standard was exceptionally high. The younger cast members also shone through, impressively supporting the strong lead characters and showcasing their unmistakeable potential for future productions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image alignright\"><figure class=\"alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"346\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bridgnorthendowed.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/HSM_fergus.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2317\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bridgnorthendowed.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/HSM_fergus.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.bridgnorthendowed.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/HSM_fergus-300x208.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><figcaption>More great comedy from Zeke (Fergus Edwards) and Chad (Liam Fulwell)<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Distinct group identities were carved out well by the Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians and Skater Dudes, with the cheerleaders providing a riot of colour and energy in the background, all reinforced by bright and bold costumes that added to the atmosphere of carefree youth.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Director, Richard Fox, and his highly talented production team infused plenty of skill and spirit into the show, bringing together a cast that interacted intuitively with chemistry that was abundantly clear.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Richard sums up: \u201cI could not be prouder of everyone who took part in our production of High School Musical, both on stage and behind the scenes.\u201d<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFor many, it was their first time on stage and all of them achieved a level of commitment and team spirit far beyond my expectations.
