Shropshire’s High Sheriff Jane Trowbridge with Charlie Fletcher and Mr Penn<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Today, we were delighted to welcome the High Sheriff of Shropshire, Jane Trowbridge, to our school for an exciting discussion about the new Youth Awareness Day initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During her visit, the High Sheriff met with our nominated Youth Ambassador, Charlie Fletcher (10SC), to talk about the importance of empowering young people and involving them in decisions that shape their communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Youth Awareness Day is a youth-led, county-wide campaign designed to shine a spotlight on the needs, voices, and potential of young people across Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Launched by Jane Trowbridge, the initiative encourages schools, businesses, and the wider community to work together in support of youth-focused causes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the heart of this campaign is a strong belief in youth leadership and community resilience. Through the Youth Grant, young people are directly involved in every stage \u2013 from shaping the vision and selecting recipients to monitoring the impact of funded projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are proud to announce that Charlie will be leading fundraising activities at BES and joining a panel of youth representatives from across the region to work alongside the Shropshire Community Foundation, helping to allocate funds to charities and projects that will make a meaningful difference to young people\u2019s lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To show our support, on Thursday 16th October, Bridgnorth Endowed and other schools across the region will be wearing blue as a symbol of solidarity and hope for the next generation. Students and staff will be encouraged to wear something blue and make a small voluntary donation to support the initiative.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
