Bridgnorth Endowed delighted hundreds of theatregoers last week with this year\u2019s spectacular school production of the award-winning and much-loved musical, Oliver! JR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bursting with plenty of tunes glorious tunes, toes were certainly tapping along to favourites such as \u201cConsider Yourself\u201d, \u201cPick a Pocket or Two\u201d, \u201cI\u2019d Do Anything\u201d, \u201cOom-Pah-Pah\u201d, and many more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The heartwarming story followed the journey of a trusting young orphan named Oliver Twist and audiences were gripped from the opening scene of the grim 19th century workhouse he called home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Supported by a hugely talented and experienced production team, the fabulous Bridgnorth Endowed cast brought the streets of Victorian London to life from start to finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were two Oliver Twists in the form of Archie Wootton and Heidi Kench, while Patrick Ainge starred as Artful Dodger and Henry Griffin took on the loathsome Fagin, alongside Charlotte Cotterill and Sophie Hill who shared the iconic role of Nancy.<\/p>\n\n\n

Incredible staging featured stunning lighting effects and a cleverly crafted bridge that spanned the stage to provide the focal point for all the action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The four-show run, which took place at the Bridgnorth Endowed Leisure Centre, was extremely well received with sellout performances, standing ovations, and overwhelming cheers for encores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Director, Ms Taylor, and her team knew they needed to go all-out to put on another big show after last year\u2019s theatrical hit, We Will Rock You \u2013 and Oliver! did not disappoint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms Taylor comments: \u201cAfter the success of last year\u2019s We Will Rock You, I knew that this year had to be something equally as special, and I have been blown away by the talent of our students in our latest production. I am so proud of each and every one of our cast and crew, as they have all worked so hard to make Oliver! a show to remember.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
