Adventure was in the air last week, when Year 7 students headed off to the University of Worcester\u2019s Lakeside Centre for a jam-packed day of exciting activities and challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Designed to help the new cohort bond, the trip included a range of activities to improve teamwork, problem solving, leadership and communication skills, while building resilience, confidence and self-esteem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were smiles all round as students got stuck into climbing, abseiling, the leap of faith and bush craft, while supporting each other and cheering everyone on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assistant Head, Mrs Tristham, who leads the school\u2019s personal development programme, said: \u201cThe adventure day was a great success and we will certainly look at doing this again next year.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur previous Year 7s did this trip towards the end of the year, but we felt it was a valuable opportunity for them to build strong relationships to take them through their time at BES and beyond.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
