Bridgnorth Endowed\u2019s stage production of \u2018We Will Rock You\u2019 was a triumph from start to finish as local audiences were treated to a spectacular show during a three-night run at the leisure centre last week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hailed as one of the most popular and well-loved \u2018jukebox\u2019 musicals on the West End, the talented cast delivered everything you could have hoped for from the Queen classic and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The futuristic story, set in a post-apocalyptic world, follows young outsider, Galileo (Harry Lewis), and sharp-witted rebel, Scaramouche (Maisie James-Owen), as they try to restore rock \u2018n\u2019 roll to \u201cthe iPlanet\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the pair run into trouble in the form of Killer Queen (Freya Cresswell) and her right-hand man, Khashoggi (Henry Rhodes), who bring pantomime-evil in bucket-loads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Queen\u2019s biggest hits at the heart of the show, the leading cast members produced many truly outstanding musical performances, including some superb solos and highly-emotional duets.<\/p>\n\n\n

Audiences refused to be left out and joined in all the way through, singing and clapping along to favourites such as \u201cRadio Ga Ga,\u201d \u201cWe Will Rock You,\u201d \u201cWe Are the Champions\u201d and \u201cBohemian Rhapsody.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ambitious staging featured sensational lighting effects and a huge 20-foot screen that beamed custom-designed graphics, created by former student, Dan Bradley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Director, Ms Taylor, and her experienced production team pulled out all the stops to put on a big show after a three-year break and certainly didn\u2019t disappoint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms Taylor comments: \u201cI couldn’t be prouder of everyone who took part in our production of We Will Rock You, both on stage and behind the scenes. We all worked incredibly hard to bring the annual show back and are already looking forward to the next one.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
