designed by Rosie Bryan in Year 7<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Modern Foreign Language students from Years 7 and 8 recently took part in a Christmas card competition with an international flavour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The theme was Christmas traditions from other countries and the &#8216;Routes into Languages&#8217; programme asked pupils to research and design a card, featuring any foreign language except English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018Routes into Languages\u2019 is an educational initiative, which was set up in 2006, to promote the take-up of languages through cooperation between universities, schools and colleges in England.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The West Midlands regional centre planned to send out a Christmas e-card to all of its contacts and decided to invite students in Years 7 and 8, from schools in the region, to participate in the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bridgnorth Endowed School submitted 22 superb entries and, although none were chosen as the winner, the following
