After the success of the recent Filtermist art competition, the Creative Arts Department would like to invite all students to enter The Nancy Rothwell Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organised by the Royal Society of Biology and Royal Veterinary College, the competition is now open for submissions from students aged 7 to 18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The award celebrates specimen drawing in schools and highlights the benefits of combining art and science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students are asked to draw, paint, sketch or digitally create artwork capturing plant and animal anatomy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The closing date is on 29th July 2022 and prizes will be awarded to three different age categories \u2013 7 to 11, 12 to 14 and 15 to 18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The overall winner in each category will be awarded a set of drawing pencils, a certificate and \u00a325, and the top three runners up in each category will also receive prizes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Any students interested, please see Mrs Rhodes in ST8 to gain some inspiration from examples of previous years’ entries and details on how to submit your work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
