Filtermist CEO James Stansfield<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Four talented Bridgnorth Endowed students have been selected as the winners of an art competition organised by Filtermist International to mark this year\u2019s Clean Air Day on Thursday 16th June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Shropshire-based industrial filter manufacturer invited students to submit designs that capture what clean air means to them and dozens rose to the challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Director of Group Marketing, Lydia Barber\u200b, said: \u201cWe\u2019d like to thank the students for all the effort they&#8217;ve put into the Clean Air Art Competition \u2013 we are absolutely delighted that so many took the time to take part.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt was really difficult to judge as the standard was so high, but we shortlisted down to four pieces per year group and agreed on a final winner for each.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The winning designs, which came from Daisy Berry (Y7), Daisy Green (Y8), Amelie Maynard (Y9) and Robert Horton (Y10), were chosen for their artistic composition and unique approaches to the theme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Daisy Berry, who incorporated real flowers into her sketched piece, was praised by judges for her \u201cclear message\u201d and \u201csimple but very powerful design.\u201d Whilst Daisy Green gave an entirely different perspective and focused on the impact that air pollution has on human health by encapsulating environmental imagery in the shape of the lungs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image alignleft\"><figure class=\"alignleft size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"346\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bridgnorthendowed.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/filtermist-art-comp-1a.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10335\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bridgnorthendowed.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/filtermist-art-comp-1a.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.bridgnorthendowed.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/filtermist-art-comp-1a-300x208.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><figcaption><em>Filtermist CEO James Stansfield<\/em> with the four winners proudly showing off their artwork on display in the reception at Filtermist&#8217;s headquarters in Telford<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Amelie\u2019s dream-like acrylic painting, lauded as \u201cattention-grabbing\u201d and \u201cvery well executed\u201d, depicts two giant hands holding a bright globe that\u2019s flourishing with nature and surrounded by clean air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Robert was the only student to submit a digital entry and the Filtermist team felt the contrast between the dark, polluted wasteland and vibrant, clean utopia was really strong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The top four saw off some stiff competition from other students, who explored a multitude of imaginative ways to communicate the clean-air message in support of Clean Air Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Congratulations to the winners who each received a \u00a350 Hobbycraft voucher and Filtermist goody bag as their prizes, plus the work they produced has already been printed onto canvases, which are now on display in the reception at Filtermist\u2019s headquarters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To take a look at all of the entries submitted <a class=\"blue\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bridgnorthendowed.co.uk\/news\/gallery\/\">please visit our gallery<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The entries can also be seen in this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=7zTQmjZjt6Y\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"blue\">short film created by Filtermist<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Four talented Bridgnorth Endowed students have been selected as the winners of an art competition organised by Filtermist International to mark this year\u2019s Clean Air Day on Thursday 16th June.
