Bridgnorth Endowed Hosts Post-16 Event

Bridgnorth Endowed School opened its doors to local further education and training providers for a Year 11 Information Evening held last Thursday.

The event, which saw an excellent turnout, gave parents and students the chance to chat to representatives from colleges, school sixth forms and training organisations about the opportunities available to them after GCSE.

Bridgnorth Endowed’s Careers Leader, Miss Edwards, comments: “This year is the first time we’ve organised an event like this and we hope our Year 11s found it helpful as they make decisions about their future education and career pathways.”

“Although some students have a good idea of where they want to go next year, many are looking for more information. For example, one boy, who was certain about what he wanted to do, had a complete change of direction after speaking to a very enthusiastic provider about aviation.”

“As a parent of a Year 11 student myself, I felt it was a very informative evening in a friendly and relaxed format; a good start to the event programme we have planned for this academic year.”

Many thanks to the following post-16 providers who attended the event:
