Archie Takes First Place in Bridgnorth Junior Walk

Archie Wickens with his medal for first place in the town’s junior walk

Congratulations to Archie Wickens from Year 9 who, for the second year running, came first in the Bridgnorth Junior Walk, which took place on Monday 27th May.

The popular annual event sees 9 to 14-year-olds tackle a challenging seven-mile route that starts and finishes in Ditton Priors and includes a climb to the top of the Brown Clee, the highest hill in Shropshire.

Archie’s time was 51:43 minutes, a personal best, and he was closely followed by three other Bridgnorth Endowed School students who also secured top ten positions.

Seth Cains clinched second place, Tom Casswell was seventh and Joe Markall came in eighth. Well done to everyone that took part.
