Students at Bridgnorth Endowed are celebrating today’s A Level results as the school reports a 96% pass rate, a marked increase on last year.

Over 52% of students achieved A*–C grades and those heading off to university were all offered their first choices.

Star students include Maisie Bagley and Alexandra Constantinou, who both got an A and two Bs, and have secured places at university.

Chelsie Henshaw will go on to study English and French at the University of Birmingham, and Alexandra Shuttleworth got A, B, B in English, History and Art & Design.

Many students gained top grades and their accomplishments will see them move on to university courses, apprenticeship schemes and employment opportunities.

Alongside traditional degree courses, other subject choices have included Criminology, International Relations, Deaf Studies, and Film and Production.

The rise in popularity of apprenticeships is apparent, with 21% of students opting for this route. Amy Clowes, who achieved A, B, C, has been offered an exciting Apprenticeship in Property & Land Surveying at Severn Partnership.

Vocational results were also a big success story with a 100% pass rate on the school’s BTEC courses, and all students being awarded either Distinctions or Merits.

Headteacher, Mr Worth, said: “We’re extremely proud of our students and wish them all the best for the future. Hard work determines success and the hard work has definitely paid off with this set of results.”

“It’s been a tough year with the new A Level reforms, so we’re particularly pleased with how well the students have done.”
