At Bridgnorth Endowed School, the safety of students and staff is our top priority and we have put a raft of effective measures in place, based on the very latest advice and guidance.

Our Protective Measures

Entering the school

Every person entering Bridgnorth Endowed School is required to use hand sanitiser, which is positioned at the main entrance of the building.

Track and trace

To support track and trace, everyone that comes into school is asked to sign in using the inventory system. Sanitising wipes are used to clean the screen and hand sanitiser is also available at this point.

Two-metre distancing

Two-metre floor markings and signage is clearly displayed around the school premises to help students and staff maintain social distancing at all times.

Classroom cleanliness

Hand sanitisers and wipes are available in every classroom. Students and staff are asked to apply the hand gel on entry and use the wipes to clean the work space and any shared equipment before use.

One-way system

To help maintain the two-metre distancing and minimise risk, a one-way system is in operation at the school. Directional arrows and no entry signs are in place to safely guide students and staff around the corridors.

Expert cleaning

Our experienced cleaning team is on site every day and have been tasked to follow specific coronavirus procedures to clean and sanitise the school to the highest standard.

Desk spacing

The amount of furniture has been reduced to create plenty of space in each room and allow us to spread the students out. Each desk is for one person only and adheres to the two-metre distancing rule.

Book ban

To prevent the spread of the virus on books, all shelves in the Study Centre have been covered. Instead, students are encouraged to access information from the vast range of online resources available to them.

Reduced access

Some areas within the school building have been closed off to decrease traffic and minimise use. This helps us to maintain stringent cleaning standards and reduce the risk of contamination.

Reduced movement

Movement around the site is also restricted. Students are allocated a work space where they remain throughout the day and only one student is allowed to use the toilet facilities in their area at any one time.

Cashless system

To minimise the risk of spreading infection, Bridgnorth Endowed is now a cashless school. All transactions, such as school meals and trips, will need to be paid via the School Gateway system.

Transport measures

A number of measures have been put in place to safeguard students who travel to and from school on the school minibus, public transport or local authority organised transport. Find out more here →
