Childcare Provision

childcareTo limit the spread of coronavirus, the UK government took the decision to close all schools across the country from Friday 20th March until further notice.

Exceptions to this are children who are vulnerable, and children whose parents are critical to the COVID-19 response and cannot be safely cared for at home.

Vulnerable children are those who have an education, health and care (EHC) plan or a social worker, including children:

  • With a child protection plan
  • Assessed as being in need
  • Looked after by the local authority

The government’s list of key workers can be found here – visit the GOV.UK website
