At Bridgnorth Endowed School, the safety of students and staff is our top priority and to minimise the risks from COVID-19, we have put a whole raft of preventative measures in place. The steps we take are all based on the very latest advice and guidance from the UK Government and Department for Education.
*To support our preventative measures, we are asking students to carry out lateral flow tests at home at least twice a week*
Entering the school All visitors to Bridgnorth Endowed must have a pre-arranged appointment and present a negative lateral flow test result via the NHS app, for that day, before gaining entry. |
Track and trace To support our rigorous track and trace procedures, everyone that comes into the school is asked to sign in with all relevant contact details using the Inventry system. |
One-way system To help to reduce contact and minimise risk, a one-way system is in operation. Directional arrows and no entry sign are in place to safely guide pupils and staff around the corridors. |

Classroom cleanliness Hand sanitiser and wipes are available in all classrooms. Students and staff are asked to apply hand gel on entry and use wipes to clean shared equipment both before and after use. |
Expert cleaning Our experienced cleaning staff are on site every day and have been tasked to follow specific coronavirus procedures to clean and sanitise the school to the highest possible standard. |
Reduced movement To minimise contact, movement around the school site is restricted. Each year group is allocated a zone and students are given a work space where they remain for most of the day. |
||||
Chromebook devices In support of flexible learning and limiting the use of shared equipment, BES is part of a scheme that enables pupils to buy their own devices to access the network while in school and also use freely at home. |
Kit and equipment For the school to be able to offer the full timetable, whilst avoiding the use of shared equipment where possible, students are required to bring in the correct kit each day. See kit list → |
Cashless system To reduce the risk of spreading infection, Bridgnorth Endowed is now a cashless school. All transactions, such as payment for school meals, will need to be made via the School Gateway system. |

Transport measures Specific measures have been put in place to safeguard pupils who travel to and from school on the school minibus, public transport or local authority organised transport. Read more here → |
School catering A reduced selection of 'grab and go' hot and cold boxed lunches, priced at £2.50, are available to pre-order via the Aspens Services app. Bagged items will also be on sale at break times. |
Before and after school Before and after school slots are available to pre-book up to 7 days in advance via the School Gateway system. Places are limited and are allocated on a first come, first serve basis. |
Students and staff attending school are regularly reminded of the protocols in place to help keep them safe. For more information on our COVID-19 measures, please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
