In Years 7, 8 and 9, students complete a three-year foundation course, which aims to give them a broad, balanced education with a wide range of study.
All pupils take:
- English, Maths and Science
- History, Geography, RE and PSHCE
- Design Technolgy subjects, Computing, Art, Music and Drama
The majority of students study French or Spanish with a small minority taking extra English and Maths instead of a language, to better prepare them for GCSE.
The school runs a two-week timetable system, allocating a set number of one-hour lessons to subjects across the fortnight.
