The girls finished runners-up in the competition, whereas the boys won their competition and went on to represent Shropshire in the West Midlands Finals where they finished third in their group.

They were then kindly given tickets, by the organisers, Badminton England, to watch the All England Badminton Competition being played the same day at the National indoor Arena, Birmingham.
